Morocco’s comedy scene continues to grow, and Comediablanca intends to prove just how far it has come. Back for its third edition, the Casablanca-based festival is evolving into something much bigger than a traditional stand-up event. This year, for the first time, Comediablanca will extend across three separate evenings, each built around a distinct atmosphere, lineup, and comedic identity. Under the artistic direction and staging of Amir Rouani, the festival promises a celebration of both Moroccan and international comedy cultures, bringing together established performers, rising talents, improvisation, storytelling, and immersive audience experiences in one large-scale entertainment universe.
The festival will officially open on June 4 with a gala entirely dedicated to Moroccan comedy.
Hosting the evening is Taliss, founder of the Humouraji troupe and one of the central figures of Moroccan stand-up over the past decade. Known not only for his performances but also for his role in mentoring emerging comedians, Taliss brings both artistic credibility and deep knowledge of the local comedy scene to this year’s edition.
The lineup surrounding him reflects the richness and diversity of Moroccan humor today, featuring performers such as Oussama Ramzi, Rachid Rafik, Said et Wadie, Ayoub Idri, Driss et Mehdi, Fadoua Taleb, Zouhair Zair, Fatih Mohamed, and Wahib Abouya.
The second evening, scheduled for June 5, shifts toward something more intimate and exclusive with Jalil Tijani presenting “Jeux de Société – La dernière.” Originally his very first show, the performance has been specially revisited for the festival and will be presented for the final time.
The concept carries particular emotional weight for longtime followers of Tijani’s work, positioning the evening as both a return to origins and a farewell to a defining chapter of his artistic journey.
Then comes June 6 and the festival’s large francophone gala.
Leading the evening as master of ceremony is Kheiron, widely recognized for his improvisational style and unpredictable interactions with audiences. His performances often blur the line between scripted comedy and spontaneous crowd engagement, making every appearance feel unique.
He will be joined by a lineup featuring Laurie Peret, Mehdi Bousaidan, Mimo Lazrak, Doully, John Sulo, and Hamaka, reinforcing the festival’s ambition to create bridges between Moroccan, French, and international comedy scenes.
But Comediablanca’s ambitions clearly extend beyond the stage itself.
Throughout the festival, attendees will also have access to the Comediablanca Village, an immersive lifestyle space designed to prolong the experience beyond the galas. Food courts, chill zones, gaming spaces, and live entertainment activations will transform the venue into a full-scale social and cultural hub rather than a simple performance site.
Produced by Tendansia, the festival reflects the growing sophistication of Morocco’s live entertainment industry, where comedy events are increasingly embracing festival culture, immersive experiences, and large-scale production standards.
With its expanded format, carefully curated programming, and cross-cultural vision, Comediablanca’s third edition feels less like a local comedy gathering and more like the confirmation of a scene entering a new era.
