Tanger is getting ready to swing once again. From September 18 to 20, 2026, Tanjazz will return for its 23rd edition, bringing three days of jazz, live performances and musical discoveries to the city. For another year, the festival will explore jazz in all its forms, while making some of Tangier's most emblematic locations part of the experience.
For three days, Tanjazz will transform Tangier into a meeting point for different musical traditions and contemporary interpretations of jazz.
Swing, flamenco, Cuban music, boogie-woogie, Afrobeat and soul will all find their place in this year's edition, reflecting the festival's long-standing ambition to showcase the many faces of jazz.
The main program will unfold across two evenings at the Palais des Institutions Italiennes, on September 18 and 19.
On Friday, September 18, the Jardin Stage will welcome Grammy Award-winning jazz vocalist Dee Dee Bridgewater alongside acclaimed guitar duo Rodrigo y Gabriela.
Meanwhile, the Patio Stage will feature The Groovy Four, Gisele Jackson and The Haggis Horns, bringing their own interpretations of soul, funk and jazz to the evening.
The following night, Saturday, September 19, will continue with a distinctly international program.
The Jardin Stage will host Spanish flamenco singer El Cigala and Buena Vista All Stars, bringing together flamenco and Cuban musical traditions for what promises to be one of the weekend's highlights.
The Patio Stage will feature The Swing Shouters, Lady Valiant and Les Frères Smith, continuing the festival's journey across different styles and generations.
But Tanjazz extends well beyond the main stages.
Throughout the three days, Tanjazz en Ville will bring music directly into the heart of Tangier, with musical routes through the Kasbah and other emblematic locations, as well as performances in partner hotels.
The citywide program will also include swing dance classes, jam sessions and brass bands moving through the streets of Tangier, creating an atmosphere that extends beyond the traditional festival setting.
The full Tanjazz en Ville program is still to be announced, with more artists and locations expected to be revealed soon.
After more than two decades of editions, Tanjazz continues to make Tangier a natural meeting point for artists, audiences and different musical cultures.
