For this release, Inez joins forces with Tawsen, one of the leading voices of the Moroccan diaspora, who is simultaneously preparing his debut album Chokran (“thank you” in Arabic), following the success of his hit “Dawini,” which remained a long-standing presence on Spotify Morocco. If Farasha represents transformation and freedom, and Chokran reflects gratitude and growth, then “La La” becomes the meeting point of both worlds.
At its core, “La La” captures the chaos of falling in love the obsession, the butterflies, and the emotional surrender of losing yourself in someone else translating intimate emotion into a sound that feels playful, nostalgic, warm, and both timeless and contemporary. This emotional duality is mirrored in its visual world, where Inez and Tawsen build a strong narrative that moves between polished studio aesthetics and the raw, lived-in energy of community and celebration. The music video draws inspiration from everyday diasporic memories.
More than a love song, “La La” becomes a cultural statement, celebrating roots, identity, and the beauty of carrying multiple worlds at once, while honoring both heritage and the global environments that shaped both artists’ sound and perspective.
“La La” by Inez & Tawsen will be available worldwide on Friday, May 29 on all streaming platforms.
