While “La La” highlighted her Moroccan roots and influences, “Ana Sittek” (which means “I am the one in charge”) explores a different musical flavor, infused with playful, Egyptian-inspired sounds while still carrying the unmistakable touch that makes an Inez record uniquely hers. Rather than fitting into one box, Inez continues to draw inspiration from the cultures, sounds, and genres that have shaped her musical journey.
That freedom lies at the heart of her upcoming debut album. More than a collection of songs, the project is a reflection of who Inez is as an artist today.
Her voice has always been her strongest instrument, and throughout the album she embraces the genres, emotions and influences she genuinely loves. The result is a body of work filled with different layers, colors, and flavors, each revealing a new facet of her personality. If her previous project was about searching, this album is about flying.
Inspired by the symbolism of a butterfly, Inez approaches her debut album with a newfound confidence and creative freedom, allowing herself to explore without limitations. It is the most honest introduction to her artistic identity so far.
